Search Unclaimed Property Programs
Unclaimed property means personal property that has left the possession of its owner and has not entered the legal possession of another person. For example, perhaps you moved and left no forwarding address, thus missing a check that was sent to your old mailing address. Maybe you got married or divorced or in some other way changed your name or title, causing assets that rightly belong to you to get misplaced. Perhaps you are the legal heir of someone that has died but the executor of that person's estate never successfully found you. If any of the above is true, that property is a unclaimed and is still out there waiting for you to make good your claim to it.
By searching unclaimed property, you can find lost or forgotten assets, such as savings or checking account monies, stocks, bonds, and so on, to which you have a rightful claim. The search is totally free.
